Our Mission
Foster and Forever Pet Rescue was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of homeless animals. We are always busy helping our furry friends find forever homes! Our Foster and Forever team has worked tirelessly to develop a network of fosters and volunteers who help take care of pets in need.
We are in need of fosters for adult cats who need to be the one and only! Some may be okay with dogs. Please consider foster-to-adopt or long-term fostering a single cat. This could free up a foster who is willing to take multiple cats/kittens and will help us save more lives.
Every donation helps us provide the best care possible for our cats in loving foster homes. Your generosity helps our cats receive necessary medical treatment, food, supplies, and more. To make a donation online, use our convenient Zeffy link below.
We are active on Facebook and Instagram! Check out our social media accounts for updated information on our kitties (and lots of cute photos and videos, too).
Please note: We are not a feral cat rescue and do not have the manpower to participate in the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) process.

About Billy
Billy is a happy, healthy, and sweet boy. He is super affectionate, loves to snuggle and will sleep right by your head! He absolutely loves humans and would be a great assistant for someone who works from home (he enjoys sitting on his foster dad’s lap and supervising as he works). Billy gives many leg rubs and loves to play. He is always looking to get a game going and has a blast playing and chasing all of his little toys around. Billy was a little stressed in his prior foster home with other cats. He would do best in a home without other dogs or cats. After being found malnourished and taken in by our rescue, he has been eating wonderfully and is no longer underweight. He really enjoys his dry food!
Billy was born around February 2, 2025, and is currently being fostered in Naugatuck. He is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. “Meet and Greets” can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org. Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.

About Adonis
Hello! My name is Adonis, and here’s my story – I was on the lam for months in the wintertime and several rescuers tried to trap me. Of course, I was very suspicious since I did not know of their intentions, and I managed to avoid them all. But the snows came, it was cold, and I was getting weary. Rescuers continued to provide food and water, but by the time I arrived at the feeding station, racoons had already been there and dined. Between them and the weather, there was not much to eat. I managed to survive the winter and in the spring, as I was waiting at the feeding station, a nice lady arrived with provisions. I looked at her and she at me and I made a choice. I did not run. This was the day. She bent down and stroked my back and it felt good. She returned to her car, then placed a carrier in front of me and I climbed in, and this turned out to be a great decision. After taking a long look at me, she named me Adonis, which I find most appropriate since it means “a very handsome young man”. I am warm and safe in a foster home, well cared for and much loved. My foster parents brought home more rescues, and yes, I must admit I love thundering through the house with my hooligan counterparts and jumping over anything in our way. I adore my foster mom, but am longing for more attention and someone to love and lavish me with their praise. I have not been exposed to dogs. If you are looking for a pal and interested in adopting me, here is what I can do for you: I will watch TV with you while resting by your side. I will assist while you are preparing dinner. I will entertain myself and chase toys all over the room. I will be delighted to lounge for hours, snoozing on top of a cat tree. I will be available for a cuddle, just call to me and I will come. I am an energetic, active, playful, and adoring feline looking for a companion. I want someone to love me, to care for me, and to make sure I get my daily fluoxetine so I can maintain my meticulous litterbox habits. It’s an anxiety issue, it’s not a medical issue.
If you are looking for a companion and someone to love, please let your choice be me!

About Alexander
Alexander was rescued from a colony where he was showing up for food every day and jumping in peoples’ cars trying to go home with them. He was most likely dumped or left behind by someone. A very nice lady took him in and had him vetted, and he is now looking for a forever home. He is a sweet guy, loves having his head pet, and will follow you around, rubbing on your legs for attention. Alexander loves humans! He has no negative reactions to cats, but he has not exposed to dogs.

About Adeline
Adeline’s story began when she showed up at midnight at one of our foster colonies. She was hungry, confused, and frightened. Not having a carrier with her, the colony’s feeder was forced to leave Adeline. Feeling horrible about the events of that night, the feeder woke up very early to go back and find Adeline. Adeline had been waiting for her to return the entire night. Seeing the feeder, Adeline ran to her, purring…the rest is history!
The feeder is now Adeline’s foster. Adeline is estimated to be approximately 2 years old. She is a healthy little girl that is full of life and has a lot of love to give. She is being fostered in a home with other cats, dogs and birds. Adeline gets along well with the other cats, tolerates the dogs, but think the birds are appetizers – so please, no homes with birds!
Adeline was born around September 11, 2023, and is currently being fostered in Watertown. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. “Meet and Greets” can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org. Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.
